How can journalists cover climate change through a climate justice lens? In this webinar, the first AMWAJ Tabadul event of 2025, experts from ARIJ Network and Marea Media will explore why this approach is important for public awareness and policy. Ahmed Ashour (ARIJ Network) will present the Climate Justice: Through an Investigative Lens guide, offering insights beyond its Arabic version. Sofia Turati and Vittoria Torsello (Marea Media) will share case studies of local resistance to climate impacts, from a controversial pipeline in Italy to small-scale fishermen challenging EU funding rules. Updates Apply for the Climate Change & Environmental Justice Training Series |

The training programme, organised by AMWAJ and the Heinrich Boell Foundation Middle East, provides a participatory immersion in climate change and environmental justice issues in the MENA region. It is open to aspiring journalists from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt. The training is open for applications until Monday 3 March 2025. |
