Across the Mediterranean, wetlands are under threat. We’ve lost half of their area in the last 50 years and 36% of Mediterranean wetland species are threatened with extinction. Given the vital role wetlands play as a natural habitat and a source for food and freshwater, we must protect them to preserve nature.

The Invisible Water Short Film – commisioned by AMWAJ and directed by Momen Nabil – has been selected by the Portuguese short film festival MarMostra will be screened the 21 August at Estação – Esteiro de Canelas. You can check the festival programme here.

The short film aims to evoke a reflection on the water we use and consume without being aware of – the so called virtual water. Commit to protect, restore and enhance the value of ecosystems related to water. Sign the AMWAJ Manifesto.
