Get ready to dive into the refreshing world of water stories with the launch of Dhikraa, a brand new podcast curated by AMWAJ with the support of dublab studio, and produced by REVOLVE! In this first episode moderated by Marta Castillo, Palestinian sound-researcher Bint Mbareh talks about communal reverence for water and the power of communal singing.
To mark this year’s World Water Day, AMWAJ organised the first Tabadul of 2023. The workshop revolved around a growing issue in the Mediterranean: water pollution. Participants had the opportunity to get to know the works of MedWaves, Visualizing Palestine (VP), Sketching the Move and Quo Artis.

A recent study found that rivers absorb 3.2 billion tonnes of carbon per year, making them a valuable player in the global carbon cycle. However, the study warns that rivers are highly vulnerable to environmental change and calls for a global River Observing System (RIOS) to better understand their role in carbon transport and predict the impact of global climate change.
