AMWAJ organised the first Tabadul of 2023

To mark this year’s World Water Day, AMWAJ organised the first Tabadul of 2023. The workshop revolved around a growing issue in the Mediterranean: water pollution. Participants had the opportunity to get to know the works of MedWaves, Visualizing Palestine (VP), Sketching the Move and Quo Artis.

We are very excited to work with a dedicated environmental solutions provider who’s committed to promoting biodiversity and sustainable ecosystems in Beirut, Lebanon. 

A recent study found that rivers absorb 3.2 billion tonnes of carbon per year, making them a valuable player in the global carbon cycle. However, the study warns that rivers are highly vulnerable to environmental change and calls for a global River Observing System (RIOS) to better understand their role in carbon transport and predict the impact of global climate change.
