World Water Day 2023: Accelerating Change
World Water Day is celebrated annually on March 22 to draw attention to the importance of freshwater and to advocate for the sustainable use of freshwater resources. This World Water Day 2023 is about accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis.
And because water affects us all, we need everyone to take action. That means you! This is a once-in-a-generation moment for the world to unite around water.
Unlike Malta which still has some (rapidly depleting) groundwater aquifer reserves, Lampedusa has no freshwater resources. The island needs renewable energy for sustainable water access. But…how?
