AMWAJ Media Fellowship 2025
We are delighted to announce that the 2025 AMWAJ Media Fellowship has been awarded to Basma El Atti! The fellowship aims to support young journalists working in the Mediterranean region. El Atti, 24, is a freelance journalist from Morocco and a correspondent for The New Arab. She caught the attention of the AMWAJ selection committee with a compelling story pitch on cloud seeding and the drought-flood paradox in North Africa, and the social implications of both. From January to April 2025, El Atti will work with the AMWAJ team, receiving guidance and support to bring her story to life in a multimedia format.
