Innovate4Climate, in collaboration with REVOLVE, will deliver a 4-hour hybrid workshop which will take place in Bilbao (Spain) and online on Monday, May 22, 2023. The workshop is organized under the umbrella of Innovate4Climate, the World Bank Group’s annual global conference covering climate finance, climate investment and carbon markets.
The Innovate4Climate (I4C) Journalists Workshop is a 4-hour workshop designed specifically for international media professionals to delve into the topic of climate finance, providing participants with expert knowledge and tools that can be applied in their professional work. The workshop will take place in a hybrid format and will bring together up to 25 international media professionals to hone their reporting skills on climate change in the run-up to COP28.
Up to ten participants will receive a fully-funded scholarship to attend the workshop and the three-day I4C event in Bilbao, Spain. Journalists from the following regions are strongly encouraged to apply for the fully-funded scholarship: Middle East and North Africa; East Asia and Pacific; Small Island Developing States; Latin America and the Caribbean; and Africa. Other selected participants are invited to join either online or in person. Participants attending in person will be expected to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Climate communication experts and finance/technical experts will provide a comprehensive picture of the global climate financial landscape and help journalists hone their reporting skills on climate change. Following the workshop, participants are invited to attend the 3-day Innovate4Climate conference.
The workshop is free and open to media professionals. All selected participants will also have free participation in the I4C conference. Submit your application by filling out this online form by Friday 10 March 2023.
