Communicating the shift towards water resilience



Mixing Youth and Water: If they don’t give you a seat at the (policy) table, bring a folding chair! 


Should the youth be included in water justice policy decisions? Why is urgent that policy-makers to start facilitating inter-generational dialogue in the water sector? Critically discussing the difference between empowering youth to be “decision-makers” and that of being able to actively participate in the decision-making spaces, the newest Tayyarat article addresses that it is not enough to empower youth to be ‘agents of change and impact’ if their ideas and initiatives keep falling on deaf ears.

Sewari Water: the role of women in water governance in Yemen  


Did you know that Yemeni women played a crucial role to alleviate the water crisis in Yemen? Watch the short documentary by Sahar Al Shameri produced in the framework of the Water Journalism Academy and discover more about the impeccable contribution by women in the path towards water resilience. The short video shows how the initiative ‘Communities Make Peace Project’ succeeded in resolving a chronic conflict by organizing discussion groups and seminars in conflict resolution.

Restoring river ecosystems around the Mediterranean
